ALN Teaching Assistant

Based in a Wrexham SEN School (6 – 19 yrs)

Salary £11.41 - £13.00 ph

8.50am to 3.20pm

Term Time Only

Are you experienced in the field of education or care and supporting individuals with MLD / SLD / PMLD / ADHD / ASD?

Would you be keen to take on a class-based role where you will help students to access the curriculum and develop essential life skills?

You will need to be:

• Honest, reliable, an excellent communicator, resilient, hard-working, versatile, and a great team player.
• You must be keen to improve your own knowledge and skills in a genuinely unique educational environment.

Essential Criteria:

• Ability to assist in lessons and group sessions, either 1:1 or in small groups
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative
• Experience in working with children and young people who have ALNs
• Confidence in working on building a young person’s resilience

The post holder must hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or be willing to obtain one) and registration with the EWC as a SLSW.

References to cover at least the last 2 years will also be required.
