Assembly Technician / Assembly Engineer / Assembly Operative / Mechanical Technician / Fitter required to join a global manufacturer based in Bristol.
The Assembly Technician / Assembly Engineer / Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the mechanical assembly and build of mechanical equipment & machinery.
The successful Assembly Technician will have a background in mechanical assembly, ideally from a fluid power background, including valves, fittings, regulators, hoses, filters, instrumentation, and measurement devices.
Role
Carry out the mechanical assembly of mechanical equipment and machinery.
Working to technical engineering drawings, build plans and procedures.
Liaise with various engineering departments.
build and assembles a panel, pressure test a panel, make sure all the valves are open.
needs to understand what a valve is and a regulator.
Use of mechanical handling equipment.
Requirements
Experience as an Assembly Technician / Assembly Engineer / Assembly Operative / Mechanical Technician / Fitter or similar
Previous experience working around fluid power systems including Valves, Fittings, Regulators, Hoses, Filters, Instrumentation, and Measurement Devices.
Experience with mechanical assembly or hands on engineering equipment
Apprentice trained or an engineering qualification would be beneficial but will provide the training and qualifications if needed.
Commutable to Bristol.
