Bookkeeper – Shopfitting  

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team.

Position Overview:

As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial records and transactions of our shopfitting company. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised individual to contribute to the financial success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using accounting software.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and issue invoices, statements, and payment reminders to clients.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and financial institutions.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations.
  • A relevant qualification in accounting or bookkeeping is desirable but not essential.
