Job Profile for Senior Building Surveyor - LF267273

Bennett and Game are currently communicating with a Chartered Surveyors and Architectural Practice based in Cirencester who are looking to grow their team. They are Specialists within the Residential sector, covering a variety of projects including but limited to, extensions, refurbishments, change of use, new builds and listed building conversions.

Senior Building Surveyor Position Overview

• Inspect properties and prepare reports for Building Surveys, mostly to RICS Level 3 and some Level 2,
• Carry out inspections and prepare reports and schedules for dilapidations and maintenance purposes, identify structural faults and recommend repairs
• Assess damage for insurance purposes
• Advise clients on issues such as property boundary disputes
• Be prepared to act as an expert witness in legal proceedings
• Assess properties and development schemes to ensure they meet building regulations, fire safety, accessibility and other standards
• Prepare and manage planning and building control and other statutory applications
• Project management/contract admin JCT

Senior Building Surveyor Position Requirements

• Knowledge of building and construction both historic and current
• To be thorough and pay attention to detail the ability to use your initiative
• Analytical thinking skills
• Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Knowledge of public safety and security
• Thinking and reasoning skills
• Persistence and determination
• To be able to use it systems confidently
• Knowledge of autocad and similar packages would be an advantage
• A driving licence is essential due to location

• Salary: £50k - £60k DOE
