Job Description

Business Development Manager / Sales Manager / Sales Engineer required to join a global pumps manufacturer.

Business Development Manager / Sales Manager / Sales Engineer shall be responsible for new business development within the industrial pumps division across the UK, selling into various industries, with a key focus on growing the food & beverage market.

The Business Development Manager / Sales Manager / Sales Engineer will ideally have sales experience in engineering selling in to the food&bev industry via distribution chanels. Full product training provided.

Business Development Manager / Sales Manager/ Sales Engineer Role
Manage the UK territory including regular reporting on territory plan, progress to plan, sales forecast, sales and marketing and sales pursuits both direct and through channel partners/ distribution.
Manage and grow existing relationships as well as business development. 80% new business development.
Selling cavity pumps, dosing pumps, metering pumps, submersible pumps, conveying technology, food and hygienic pumps and more.
Monitor business trends, competitor data and gather market intelligence relating to the UK pump industry.
Maintaining new sales with demonstration, exhibition and negotiation in order to achieve targets.
Working closely with the Service Department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
Liaise with various engineering departments.

Business Development Manager / Sales Manager/ Sales Engineer Requirements
Experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Key Account Manager or similar within mechanical engineering.
Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable company. Full product training provided.
Background in developing new business opportunities UK wide, ideally within the food & beverage industry.
Experienced in selling cavity pumps, dosing pumps, metering pumps, submersible pumps, conveying technology, food and hygienic pumps or similar is advantageous.
Specific knowledge of applications related to the food & bev industry selling via distribution channels would be highly desirable.
A technical engineering degree is advantageous.
Willingness to travel, you will be home based covering UK wide with occasional staying away and travelling oversees for training.
