Day Concierge (7am-3pm weekends)

Birmingham

£9477.00 per annum

15 hours per week

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Weekend Day Concierge at Ferndale Transition Centre.  The role is to provide reception duties (door entry and telephone), monitor building security, monitor health & safety, and provide cleaning services to the building.

Functions to customers as part of the service include appointment booking, post/letters management and activities and wellbeing services.

In-line with incident and safeguarding processes raise any concerns and report these in line with Policy and Procedure.

You will also receive visitors and customers at reception and support them in a professional, polite, and courteous manner whilst dealing with all routine enquiries.

The role will:

Undertaking routine building checks to ensure security

Carry out health and safety checks.

Carry out cleaning duties to ensure tidiness of building.

Void clean properties ready for the next occupant

Monitor CCTV, as well as keeping accurate and appropriate recordings of activities undertaken throughout the night.

The role will require you to lone work for the duration of the shift although managers, support staff and partner agencies may be in the building at the same time.

About You

Experience of working within a security environment
•    Strong risk assessment skills
•    Proactivity, with the understanding of issues vulnerable people may face
•    Ability to lone work
•    Communicate effectively; verbally, non- verbally and in writing
•    Sensitively adapt language and communication style
•    Ability to develop and establish relationships with all
•    Ensure confidentiality relating to customers and staff
•    Solving problems using own initiative
•    Experience of working with multiple stakeholders
•    Produce high quality documentation when requested
