We have a fantastic opportunity for a Driving Range Assistant Manager to work in our dynamic team at The Belfry, England’s leading Hotel and Resort. We have 320 bedrooms, 2 rosette standard dining, five food and beverage outlets, fantastic leisure facilities including our 20 treatment rooms & pool and of course, what we are famous for…golf. We have a really exciting year ahead at The Belfry, with hosting The British Masters in August 2024, and continuing with the launch of new training and development opportunities and incentives.

Salary 

The on-target earning potential for this role is £26624.00 annual salary, compromising of a base annual salary of £25168.00 plus a qualified estimate of £1456.00 gratuities per annum

About the role

As Assistant Manager your role will be to support the Head Professional in maintaining and monitoring all operations within the Driving Range on a day to day basis. Ensuring excellent customer service to all customers and providing support to team members.

 

You will also be responsible for:

  • Efficient and effective management of team members.
  • To support the Head Professional in taking responsibility for all the Driving Range related income including F&B sales, golf ball sales, retail sales, equipment hire, tuition and corporate events.
  • Develop an annual training plan for the department and ensure that all employees are trained and developed to meet the needs of the business.
  • Ensure that effective systems are in place to prevent loss and protect profitability including F&B and retail stock
  • Championing customer service and ensuring high standards
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Maintenance of equipment and the premises
  • Coordinate all promotional activities, PR and events in line with the annual marketing plan.
  • All Maintenance and Health and Safety issues for the team and the department, reporting defects where necessary and ensuring a safe working environment for everyone.

About you

The ideal candidate will be passionate about the delivery of exceptional customer service and has worked in a Golf/ F&B / Leisure environment as a supervisor or manager.

 

You will also have:

  • Absolute commitment to guest expectations and their experience
  • Personal integrity to develop trust within their team 
  • Experienced in taking ownership over your department and achieving financial and guest targets
