We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Stores Lead to join our team at our Bridgwater Dairy, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. We're looking for someone that has experience in high-volume, complex environments and is motivated by the challenges it can bring.

Engineering Stores Lead - Key tasks:

  • Delivery of inventory management plan
  • BOM Service Pack generation for planned activities
  • Tracking and reporting stores performance
  • Optimise engineering stock spares holding
  • Manage the engineering materials location via the system
  • Key system user responsible for materials, material group codes, new suppliers/pricing and new employee training (CMMS)
  • Owner of 5S system for engineering stores
  • Manage supplier delivery performance inline with supplier commitments and expectations
  • Develop inventory management improvement technique
  • Support reliability centre maintenance/FMECA activities related to maintenance performance

 Your responsibilities:

  • Support improvement activities/events within engineering stores
  • Actively seek to deliver most cost effective and efficient spare parts/inventory solutions
  • Part of a team delivering local site improvement projects to budget
  • Support team reviews of planned maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve cost effectiveness
  • Encourage engineering based OE projects
  • Understands the impact of own actions and others on achieving site/business OGSM
  • Ability to deliver on the job training to new colleagues
  • Health and safety of self and others

 Engineering Stores Lead - Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment 
  • 5S/SSOW
  • Experience in CMMS and ERP systems
