Job Opportunity: FRA Carpenter
Pay Rate: £23 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a skilled FRA Carpenter specialising in passive fire operatives to carry out certified fire door and fire stopping repairs.

Key Responsibilities of a FRA Carpenter:

• Building Repairs and Maintenance: Conduct building repairs, maintenance, and renewals, ranging from emergency and routine reactive repairs across multiple sites to single-site programmed repairs and refurbishment in occupied and void housing properties and other premises.
• Fire Safety Improvements: Upgrade doors and existing frames concerning fire safety improvements, and measure and fit new doors, frames, and doorsets in accordance with current fire safety guidance.
• Independent Work: Ability to work independently and unsupervised, ensuring high-quality standards and customer satisfaction, completing works 'Right First Time.'

Detailed Job Description:

• Maintenance Works: Execute maintenance works as directed, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, legislation, third-party accreditations, and industry good practices.
• Efficient Material Use: Maintain efficient use of materials, ensuring all materials are stored safely and securely on-site at all times. Update van stock schedules regularly.
• Site Safety: Adhere to all local site safety rules.
• Meetings and Training: Attend required inductions, site meetings, toolbox talks, training sessions, and company meetings.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all Health, Safety, and Environment processes and procedures within the Safety Management Systems. Adopt a proactive approach to Health and Safety compliance.
• Documentation: Complete all required paperwork/electronic systems promptly and legibly.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to ensure effective and efficient service maintenance.
• Customer Focus: Maintain a friendly and customer-focused approach.

FRA Carpenter Requirements:

• Carpentry at least 5 years experience
• Fire Door Installation minimum 3 years
• Full UK Driving Licence
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 Carpentry & Joinery
