About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Lead to join our growing GaN team. As an expert in scaling advanced manufacturing processes, you will take responsibility for the industrialisation of Nexperia’ s GaN products and processes, supporting a network of global facilities and suppliers.

The successful candidate will ideally have a solid background in semiconductor manufacturing, although experience in other disciplines such as automotive or aerospace will be considered.

 Experience in production engineering, cost management, supply chain operations and lean manufacturing will be essential.

Join us on our fantastic GaN journey as we incorporate wide band gap technologies to enable more efficient energy solutions, from increasing mileage on electric vehicles to improving the power density of the next chargers.

This role will be based in our offices in Manchester, UK, with remote working considered.

What you will do

  • Guide the implementation of the Industrial strategy for Nexperia’ s GaN products and processes
  • Utilise planning systems, capacity, and cost models to evaluate the impact of various industrialisation initiatives
  • Create and manage models required for strategic decision making and capex proposals
  • Develop Volume Ramp Up Plans in collaboration with R&D and Supply Chain teams
  • Support value engineering activities across the GaN supply chain
  • Ensure the smooth transition into production of new products and processes at a global network of facilities and suppliers
  • Provide support and input to foundry operations while representing the business group interests
  • Effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure smooth business operation

What you will need

  • Minimum HND/HNC or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar discipline. Significant industrial experience in a relevant field such at automotive or aerospace will also be considered
  • Proven track record of driving and managing complex projects in a technical environment
  • Significant hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts and requirements and to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Understanding of power MOSFET device physics (preferred)
