Working for BAE Systems, in partnership with the MOD, you will be responsible for the ordering of spares in line with the servicing schedule, reacting quickly and promptly to all requirements in this busy role. The individual should be IT literate and is responsible for the running of daily reports, interrogating the requirements, and placing appropriate demands using the customers MJDI system in tandem with the BAE Maintenix toolset. Accurate and timely data input is essential in this busy and demanding environment, with prioritisation of tasks paramount. Resolving or reporting upwards any potential issues immediately is key to enable alternative demand solutions. Good communication skills are essential as you will be interacting with internal and external customers to discuss and fully understand existing and future requirements.
Knowledge of the MJDI system is not essential, but would be advantageous for those candidates who do have experience. This role may require the individual to carry out night shift work on an ad-hoc basis if required.
This position sits within the Mil Pt 145 organisation and all processes are governed by strict Mil Pt 145 legislation.
Experience of working in a MOD Supply Chain environment with an understanding of Priority progression would be an advantage.
Using the BAE Maintenix toolset (training will be supplied), print spares reports for a/c and demand spares on MJDI in line with the required delivery date and Air Command Instructions (ALI15). Records are to be created on the Typhoon States Register (TSR) and updated with solutions. Any manual demands will need to be created and work with the Workability team to progress solutions. There will be a requirement to carry out the receipt of these spares iaw the MIL Pt 145 governance and subsequent storage in the appropriate storage location. Any other duties as required by the team Supervisors.
WORKING HOURS - ON BASE
- 5 days p/wk (Mon-Fri) around relevant site core hours (7.30am - 4.30pm Mon - Thurs, 7.30am - 12pm Fri).
- Hours required to work per week are 37.00 unless otherwise stated (this does not include lunch breaks).
- Start and finish times to be agreed with local Line Management, in accordance with local site core hours.
- Lunch break allowance is 30 minutes between 12.30 - 1:00pm (or as agreed with Line Manager). 30 mins will automatically be deducted each working day by the electronic time management system.
- Dependant on workload, local management may request more or less hours are worked within this contract.

Nightshift pattern Days: 07:30 till 16:00hrs and Nights: 16:00 to 02:00hrs
The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:
