Avanti Recruitment is currently working with a Software company based in Oxford that is a leading global supplier of financial reporting software. The company is now looking for a Java Developer to work on a hybrid basis.
The company has been running for over 20 years and their software has helped to redefine the financial reporting landscape. They are working with some of the world’s largest regulators, and enterprise organisations such as HMRC, The Bank of England, and Barclays. They currently work across 26 different countries and in the UK alone their technology has processed over £2 Trillion in UK Taxes.
You will be working on a Java Microservices-based platform that will be delivering applications to a range of customers around the world. You will be working with Java as the main language but the company also uses C#, Typescript, and React for the front-end development and build on Kubernetes.
Skills required:
- Strong Java experience (minimum of 2 years' commercial experience)
- Spring / Springboot
- Agile
Bonus points:
- Experience with Apache Solr
- Python
- Kubernetes and Helm
Desirable:
- 2:1 or above in Computer Science degree from a Russell Group University
- Kubernetes
- C#
- Typescript / Frontend experience
- Commercial experience within the financial sector
Interview process:
1) 30-Minute video call, typically includes a technical challenge in addition to a CV Discussion
2) 60-90 minute interview (Face-to-face preferable), this will consist of a programming exercise on a whiteboard and a broader discussion of your aspirations and ambitions
This role will require you to work in the office 3 days per week.
The salary on offer for this position is up to £50,000 + Discretionary Bonus.
