Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Future Talent Partner to join our team within Vistry Services. We work in an agile and trusted environment and that we would consider applications from people able to work from Brentwood, Wolverhampton or London and that occasional travel is required. As our Lead Future Talent Partner, you will be leading a team of three, and will shape and grow the Future Talent agenda including our early careers initiatives and external partnerships. This role allows for autonomy and creativity whilst being part of a well-established, thriving team in a forward-thinking business. You will be responsible for providing strategic oversight to develop, and co-ordinate Future talent programmes including, apprenticeships, graduate programmes, work placement and other career initiatives to support new entrants and the development of others. You will develop and implement the Future talent strategy, in collaboration with senior leadership, and act as a subject matter expert in relation to Future Talent initiatives, promoting strong partnerships and resourcing strategies to, source, develop and enrich our future talent.

  • IT Literate, with an ability to work within generic Microsoft Office packages, as well as bespoke systems.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and influence people across the business.
  • Flexible to support various areas of the business, to attend various offices and site locations within the business as and when necessary.
  • Driving License essential to effectively support all areas of the business.

  • To partner across all six divisions of Vistry Group to develop and lead on the Future Talent strategy and learning for our internal stakeholders.
  • Set the strategic vision for future talent and guide the team to successful implementation of the strategy.
  • Build partnerships with senior leaders, Communications, People Business Partners and Social Value to respond to the Future Talent needs of the business ensuring everyone is kept well informed of initiatives, their success, reflect and responding to feedback.
  • Overseeing the recruitment and selection process for Vistry's graduate, trainee, and work placement programmes with a hands on approach at times. This includes overseeing the advertisement, screening, assessment, and interview process for Future Talent.
  • Ensure end-to-end Future Talent lifecycle, from attraction, recruitment, onboarding, continued development, to transitioning into experienced roles.
  • Accountable for ensuring the maximization and reporting of Apprenticeship Levy utilization, CITB grants and other relevant funding.
  • Manage and oversee the Future Talent budget including attendance at monthly budget meetings.
  • Ensure DE&I Governance by ensuring relevant partnerships and programmes are delivered to tackle inequality and diversify our talent pool. Offer creative ideas and support to the D&I lead to improve representation from diverse groups withing the business.
  • To contribute to the development of a culture of learning and continuous improvement, supporting employee engagement and career progression.
  • Reporting of future talent activities eg. Partnership successes, earn and learn positions, Apprenticeship numbers, placements, and Apprenticeship Levy.
  • Invest in and support the team to grow and develop.
