A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work for a reputable manufacturing business in Sheffield.
The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will report into the Engineering Manager/ Chargehand and will be responsible for all machine and site maintenance as well as assisting with projects and compliance.
Location- Sheffield
Working Hours:
2 weeks of days- 6am till 1.30pm, 1 week of afters – 12pm till 7.30pm
Salary: £40,083
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Duties and Responsibilities include:
• To carry out breakdowns and preventative maintenance on equipment as part of the PPM scheme
• To assist with project work and compliance
• To produce a daily report of work done, spares used, follow up as required
• Electrical installations as and when required
• Working to a continuous improvement focus
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
• NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience doing both preventative and reactive maintenance
• Previously worked in a manufacturing environment for 3 years+- ideally heavy industry
• Have a flexible, can do attitude
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• To carry out breakdowns and preventative maintenance on equipment as part of the PPM scheme
• To assist with project work and compliance
• To produce a daily report of work done, spares used, follow up as required
• Electrical installations as and when required
• Working to a continuous improvement focus
