We are looking for a full-time Oncology Nurse to work in a specialist oncology Unit within a private hospital in Nottingham. The role comes with a generous salary of up to £32,000 p/a and many excellent benefits.

In this Oncology Nurse role, you will deliver individualised patient care of the highest standard, acting as the named nurse, ensuring the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation is in line with evidence-base practices. You will promote safe practice and professional conduct, and be competent in the recognition of life-threatening or emergency situations.

In your first few weeks in this Oncology Nurse role, you can expect to:

  • Provide individualised patient care of the highest standard, acting as the named nurse, ensuring the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation is in line with evidence base practices
  • Promote safe practice and professional conduct, and be competent in the recognition of life-threatening situations
  • Organise workload in line with clinical priorities and establish good working relationships with specialist practitioners and the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the effective care and treatment of patients
  • Ensure the legibility and accuracy of nursing records and be aware of the legal implications of these documents


To apply for this Oncology Nurse role, you will need to be a Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration. You will also require:

  • Post-registration oncology experience with sound evidence-based knowledge in general nursing and be familiar with a variety of nursing models
  • Experience in Oncology, Haematology or Chemotherapy essential. Cannulation and Venepuncture experience. SACT passport or equivalent qualification
