Part-Time Compliance Officer - Southwark, London

Position: Part-Time Compliance Officer

12 month contract - with the potential to go perm

Salary: £19,000 for 3 days - FTE £32,000

Monday - Wednesday (hybrid - one day in the office)

Location: Southwark, London

Our client, a leading Insurance Company is seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Part-Time Compliance Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to ensure that our client complies with regulatory and legal requirements while maintaining high standards of internal policies.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments with the Group Compliance Manager.
• Act as the primary contact and liaison between department heads and senior management on all compliance and complaints-related issues.
• Perform regular assessments and audits to ensure policies align with legal requirements.
• Complete SARS requests.
• Collaborate with the manager to review the Operational Risk register.
• Work alongside the administration teams to ensure compliance in all areas.
• Assist in conducting QA checks on customer correspondences.
• Support the compliance team in implementing policies and procedures.
• Aid in the gathering of information in response to requests by regulatory organisations.

Skills and Experience:

• Excellent influencing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in presenting reports to various stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
• Experience in risk assessment and management.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Significant experience in the insurance sector.
• Working knowledge of FCA and FOS rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Previous experience in a compliance officer role or similar.
