We are currently looking for a Pastry Sous Chef to come and join our team working in this unique and luxury setting in Mayfair.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist the Head Pastry Chef in planning and managing the pastry department.
· Prepare and oversee the production of a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
· Ensure the highest standards of quality and presentation in all pastry creations.
· Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
· Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and execute new dessert menu items.
· Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs.
· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
· Comply with all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef in a high-volume establishment.
· A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
· Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating.
· Creative and innovative with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and dessert concepts.
· Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
· Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
