The difference you will make as a People Experience Advisor

You will support and advise our customers on all aspects of engagement, wellbeing and EDI (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion), working with key stakeholders and colleague groups to improve our people experience and helping to ensure a healthy and inclusive working environment where colleagues are treated with dignity and care. Alongside this, you will supports in the development and delivery of the People Strategy, associated frameworks and resources that add value and builds on best practice, embedding or values and bring us closer to our desired culture.

About You

You will have experience of organisational health and wellbeing trends relating to responsible business practices as well as a strong understanding of regulation and legislation relating to health and wellbeing. Alongside this, you will have a proven ability to create wellbeing initiatives, plans and communications and develop and lead engagement sessions and demonstrable knowledge of EDI legislation and statutory responsibilities

?Role Requirements 

  • Role model, champion and embed Our Riverside Way and ways of working, collaborating with People Services and business colleagues to achieve the Riverside aspired culture
  • Represent Riverside and People Services, internally and externally providing expert advice and keeping under review best practice developments. Contribute to the sharing of best practice and any accompanying learnings that can be brought back and implemented
  • Manages and owns the underlying engagement, wellbeing and ED&I action plans to ensure that the people strategy is delivered, and colleague engagement, Inclusion, health, and wellbeing improves
  • Develop an evidence-based approach to EDI to inform the development and implementation of initiatives and interventions to address any issues: Understanding Riverside’s use of EDI data and by developing improvement plans to identify root causes and seek opportunities to address areas of under-representation
  • Support in the delivery of a set of engagement, wellbeing and ED&I KPIs and support the Head of OD in reporting to Executive Team and Board on progress and performance
  • Champion for engagement, wellbeing and ED&I, influencing change management and policy to ensure that it is considered in decision making. Ensure that the health and wellbeing and Inclusion of colleagues is an integral part of the colleague experience and weaves through the lifecycle
  • Develop engaging communications and a wellbeing proposition that supports and empowers our people in their pursuit of good health and wellbeing. This includes supporting in the maintenance of Wellbeing Hub, managing a regular calendar of annual events and campaigns that increases awareness and confidence from our people that the health and wellbeing of our customers and colleagues is important
  • Providing analysis data and trends in engagement, health, wellbeing and ED&I. Ensure highly effective communication and partnerships with Enable, Business and People Services, ensuring a consistent approach to wellbeing and Inclusion to ensure it is effective
  • Work with the People Experience & EDI Manager and colleague groups to co-ordinate and help manage regular events, positive action campaigns and communications to raise awareness to key times in the EDI calendar or strategic initiatives
  • Consult with a variety of stakeholders and co-ordinate and engage the network of Colleague Voice, Wellbeing/ED&I Champions to ensure that they add value, have support to develop skills and to ensure their individual success and the continued success of the programme
  • Develop and manage relationships with key professional bodies and external People Experience suppliers to make sure we get value for money and leveraging best practice sharing and have a good proposition for colleagues to support their wellbeing and inclusion
  • Support the business to agree accreditations relating to engagement, health and wellbeing including ISO45003 standard for psychological health and safety at work. Manage the achievement of agreed accreditations obtaining evidence to support. providing insight to drive decision making and continuous improvement in the areas of engagement, wellbeing and ED&I
  • Support in the improvement of the colleague experience, supporting the People Experience Manager in researching and recommending initiatives and providing insight into colleague voice that improves colleague engagement and the experience and allows us to attract and retain our talented people. Supporting where appropriate in the development and delivery of relevant Our Riverside Voice surveys
  • Support the People Services Team by helping to ensure that the Riverside People Strategy and Plans – together with underpinning frameworks and policies - are embedded and adhered to
  • Maintain industry knowledge and expertise, keeping abreast of all developments and best practice in own area of expertise, identifying opportunities to contribute to and shape future decision making
  • Respond flexibly to any necessary changes in work priorities and undertake other duties when required to support the effective operation of the service
  • Ensure that all information security requirements, including data protection, are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements
  • Ensure that health and safety requirements are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

Essential 

  • Demonstrates Our Riverside Way and ways of working
  • Experience of organisational health and wellbeing trends relating to responsible business practices as well as a strong understanding of regulation and legislation relating to health and wellbeing.
  • Proven ability to create wellbeing initiatives, plans and communications and develop and lead engagement sessions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of EDI legislation and statutory responsibilities
  • Proven ability in planning, organising, and delivering projects, able to prioritise multiple work streams and meet key deadlines. Comfortable working on multiple projects within a fast paced, fast changing working environment.
  • Excellent writing and presenting skills with a track record of delivering effective and creative campaigns and leading engagement sessions.
  • Ability to influence and work collaboratively and in partnership across the business, with the ability to bring stakeholders and colleagues on board with new initiatives.
  • Capable of working with complex levels of data, using data to support People Experience work, providing expertise to colleagues and presenting data for a wide range of audience
  • Analytical skills to be able to analyse complex data, information and identify and summarise key issues
  • Strong sense of ethics, a person with integrity.

Desirable 

  • Experience in people experience and employee engagement
  • Mental Health First Aid qualified
  • IOSH Managing Mental Health qualification
  • Experience of implementing accreditations on improving health and wellbeing and ED&I within the workplace
  • CIPD Level 3 qualified, or equivalent qualification, or working towards
  • Understanding of social housing sector and the challenges it faces
  • Evidence of continued professional development
