£29,700 - £35,800 + overtime + call out pay

Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Plumbers interested in a full time, permanent position based at HMP Kirkham.

Working as part of a team, you will carry out a crucial role by ensuring planned and reactive maintenance work is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.

Role Profile & Responsibilities

  • Hours: 39 hours per week.
    • Rolling 3 week shift pattern, more information provided upon request.
  • Requirement to work weekends on a rota basis.
  • Routine and non-routine maintenance.
  • Fault finding Identification of life expired equipment.
  • Check, repair and make good faults and life expired equipment.
  • Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
  • Mains water supply repairs.
  • Minimise wastage and continually improve processes.
  • Ensure statutory works are carried out to time and that work is compliant.
  • This role may include working at height and in all-weather condition.
  • This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zerocarbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
  • Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.

Desired Applicant Profile

  • Ideally commercial plumbing experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Right to work in the UK - our client cannot offer sponsorship.
  • Trade qualification - ideally Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating. If not, we can consider Level 2.
  • Desirable to have Legionella Control (L8).
  • Able to pass security clearances
