Procurement and Contracts Manager

Birmingham, B1

37.5 hours per week

Permanent

£45,000.00 Per Annum, plus £1,680 Car Allowance

About the role

This role will lead on identifying and managing continuous improvement of procurement activity across the organisation. It will ensure that value for money, quality and efficiency savings are delivered whilst maximising the benefit for our residents.

This role will be responsible for the overseeing implementation of the Procurement Strategy and driving forward our delivery programme. Working cross-functionally with our internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers it will be responsible for procuring a wide array of contracts across various categories, from Asset Management, Care and Support, through to IT, and Human Resource

About You

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Experience of managing and engaging with senior stakeholders and managing the procurement of high value and strategic contracts for works, goods, and services.
  • Comprehensive understanding of procurement and contracts law and best practice,
  • Experience of working knowledge of Social Value generation, management, and monitoring
  • Experience of risk management and implementation strategies during the procurement lifecycle
  • Experience in significant procurement, commercial and contractual as well as supplier selection, negotiation, delivering cost savings and process efficiencies.
  • Hold a degree or professional qualification in a related subject and membership of a professional body i.e., CIPS,
