Job Description

Product Sales Specialist / Applications Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer required to join a leading manufacturer of metrology and form measurement equipment.

The Product Sales Specialist / Applications Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer / Product Specialist will take ownership of a new branded product range for surface forming geometry equipment, form measurement, roundness testers, surface roughness testers, surface profilers, surface metrology and Surface Finish measuring instruments.

You will be home based, covering UK with some international travel and be required to technically support Area Sales Managers, specify equipment, demonstrate metrology products and training customers.

We’d consider someone with a hands-on background or knowledge of surface forming geometry equipment, form measurement, roundness testers, surface roughness testers, surface profilers, surface metrology, form metrology and Surface Finish measuring instruments, looking to progress into a technical, customer focused position, or experience as an Applications Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, Technical Support, Product Specialist, Metrology Engineer, Inspection Engineer or similar.

Role
Assist the UK sales team on qualification of sales projects from a technical perspective
Face to face sales support
Working from home, covering UK wide
Provide a full technical service
Demonstration of metrology / dimensional measuring equipment
Attend and support exhibitions and trade shows
Training customers on newly installed equipment
Perform customer-facing technical demonstrations alongside
Providing technical product advice, sales, demos and training on a range of surface forming geometry equipment, form measurement, roundness testers, surface roughness testers, surface profilers, surface metrology, form metrology and Surface Finish measuring instruments
Working from home, with UK wide travel 

Requirements
Previous customer facing experience or hands on experience as an Applications Engineer, Sales Engineer, Product Specialist, Metrology Engineer, Inspection Engineer, Technical Sales, Technical support, or similar
Must have knowledge of surface forming geometry equipment, form measurement, roundness testers, surface roughness testers, surface profilers, surface metrology, form metrology and Surface Finish measuring instruments
An engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be beneficial
Full UK Driving License
