Production Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Chargehand / Lead Engineer required to join a well-established manufacturer based in Sheffield.
The Production Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Chargehand will be responsible for the day to day production management of the CNC shop floor, whilst managing 6 cell leaders and 20 operatives. We’re looking for experience of CNC programming & setting (Fanuc / Siemens) to support the shop floor when needed.
This would suit someone from a production management background within a CNC machining environment or a Chargehand / Lead Engineer / Supervisor who wants to progress and develop into a management position.
Role
Responsible for the day-to-day production management of the CNC shop floor
Delivery of manufacturing plans and objectives
Management of 6 cell leaders and 20 operatives
CNC programming setting / operating (Fanuc / Siemens)
Maintain and develop existing manufacturing instructions and standard operating procedures
Assist in the specification of new equipment and CAPEX proposals
Ensure production staff performance is reviewed, sickness, recruitment, etc
Ensure production staff are appropriately trained
Manage site health, safety and environmental obligations
Involved in regulatory inspections and internal audits
Maximise the efficiency and output
Liaise with engineering departments
Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 and Friday 08:00 – 13:00

Requirements
Proven production management experience as a Production Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Production Supervisor or a Chargehand / Lead Engineer looking to progress into people management
Experience within a CNC / Machining environment
Experience in CNC programming or setting/operating – Fanuc / Siemens
Apprentice trained or engineering qualification would be beneficial
Commutable to Sheffield
