We are now looking for a Senior Project Engineer to manage exciting manufacturing installations and upgrades.

What our Senior Project Engineer will do

As a Senior Project Engineer at Nexperia you will focus on multiple high value, high impact projects and will be the driving force behind the entire lifecycle of manufacturing upgrades & improvements. You will work with senior stakeholders, equipment and process engineers, procurement, finance, and tool vendors. You will lead diverse manufacturing projects, managing everything from definition to validation, fab handover, and eventual decommissioning of semiconductor tools. This role extends to overseeing Capital Equipment procurement, transfer and disposal making you the primary contact for capital tool projects.

This is your opportunity to lead vital improvement projects on a busy manufacturing site with over 1000 employees and toolsets worth up to $10M USD. You will lead exciting projects that create a big impact on site production capability with a contribution towards extensive improvement programs that help us work towards our $10B global growth plan.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the process of Capital Equipment procurement, transfer, disposal & technical documentation for installations and upgrades
  • Acting as the primary vendor contact for capital tool projects therefore understanding the fab tool base and future requirements
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules, plans and to ensure successful delivery of Projects whilst identifying and managing project costs
  • Leading project team organisations including integration with cross-functional/departmental resources and tool vendors
  • Liaising closely with other Manufacturing Functions to ensure requirements and priorities are agreed, working collaboratively, and engaging key stakeholders to facilitate project delivery and compliance with project objectives
  • Ensuring an effective interface is maintained between the internal project and external vendor teams and all other required operational groups during project cycles
  • Ensuring projects are disciplined in their approach to all Nexperia systems and processes, such as legal, Environmental Health & Safety, Quality, and finance

What our Senior Project Engineer will need

Essential experience & skills

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Relevant engineering or project management experience in an engineering environment or production facility that is a true OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
  • Proven project leadership of people in change management
  • Ability to control budgets, manage priorities, lead colleagues, and effectively plan / schedule
  • Strong communication skills, computer literate, and great problem-solving skills
  • Desire to learn and progress within our global company

Beneficial experience

  • Experience in working in a Semiconductor or Research and Development environment
  • Cleanroom experience
