Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer required to join a leading compressed air supplier.
The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on various compressed air equipment at customer sites across the M62 corridor.
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will ideally have a background in servicing compressed air systems and / or air quality testing, compressed air downstream equipment, vacuum pumps, blowers, desiccant dryers, filtration, condensate technology or similar compressed air systems.
Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Role
To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air products.
Maintain, repair and install air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment across the M62 corridor.
Installing compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
Liaise with various engineering departments.
Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Requirements
Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer or similar.
The ability in maintaining good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
Good working knowledge of three phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
Field servicing background in compressed air systems and / or air quality testing, compressed air downstream equipment, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers, desiccant dryers, filtration, condensate technology or similar compressed air systems
A technical mechanical / electrical / electronic / instrumentation qualification, apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
Willingness to travel and commute to Leeds occasionally to collect parts etc.
