Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer required to join a leading compressed air supplier of compressors and dessicant dryers.
The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on compressed air equipment at customer sites across North East of the UK and Scotland.
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer must have experience working on reciprocating compressors.
Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer Role
To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, dessicant dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air related products.
Maintain, repair and install reciprocating compressors, dessicant dryers, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment across the Midlands & North UK.
Installing compressed air / water / gas & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
Liaise with various engineering departments.
Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer Requirements
Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer or similar.
The ability in maintaining good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
Good working knowledge of three phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
Experience working with reciprocating compressors is essential.
A technical mechanical engineering, electrical / electronic or instrumentation qualification, apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
Homebased, willing to travel and stay away when required.
