Job Description

Field Service Electronics Engineer required to join well established company that is a leading provider of electronic manufacturing solutions based in the Bracknell area. The purpose of the position will be to visit customer sites to either install, maintain or repair NC machines and Laser Cutting Systems in the UK and Ireland.

The successful candidate will come from an Electronics Engineering background and will have the ability to understand PCB circuit diagrams.

Service Engineer - Electronic Equipment Position Overview

• Visit customer site all over the UK and Ireland (company vehicle provided)
• Install new machines for PCB NC & Laser Prototyping/Production Equipment at customer sites.
• Provide training using windows-based CAD/CAM & NC software
• Provide telephone support on machine and software issues directly to customers
• Plan and maintain own diary to organise site visits/workshop repairs
• The role requires some lifting or moving of systems following health and safety guidelines and can be a physically demanding role
• Combination of visiting customers/office/home working

Service Engineer - Electronic Equipment Position Requirements

• Must be prepared for occasional overnight stays as you will be visiting customer sites with occasional overnight stays and some overseas travel.
• Understand of PCB circuit boards
• Apprenticeship, or Ex-Forces with relevant experience is desirable
• Hold a full UK Driving licence
• Must live within travelling distance of Bracknell office as you will be required to come to the office once a week.
• An Electronics, Mechanical Engineering background ONC/HNC/HND

Service Engineer - Electronic Equipment Position Remuneration

• Salary - £30,000 - £45,000 per annum - depending on experience
• Monday to Thursday - 08:30 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 16:30. Full time - Permanent position
• 30 days holiday including bank holidays
• Pension
