Job Description

Service Technician/ Workshop Engineer / Hydraulic Engineer to join a growing supplier of hydraulic equipment within a brand-new branch based in Lancashire.



Service Technician/ Workshop Engineer / Hydraulic Engineer will be responsible for assisting at the trade counter, manufacturing hoses, pressure testing, flushing components or effecting repairs in the workshop.



The successful Service Technician/ Workshop Engineer / Hydraulic Engineer will have a at least 2 years within the hydraulic industry and a passion for exceptional customer service and the drive to learn in a fast-paced industry.

Service Technician/ Workshop Engineer / Hydraulic Engineer Role

  • The hydraulic engineer will be responsible for assembly and testing of hose assemblies to customer specification.
  • Build, service, maintain, and refurbish all Hydraulic hoses within the workshop
  • Serving at the trade counter, making hoses to pattern
  • Be aware of use and maintenance of safety equipment and fully utilise all safety items within the legal and H&S requirements.
  • Moving the goods to the correct area in the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical handling equipment.
  • Quality control of goods in and/or goods out.
  • Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 15:30
  • Commutable to office in Bolton.


Service Technician/ Workshop Engineer / Hydraulic Engineer Requirements

  • Experience as a Service Technician, Workshop Engineer, Hydraulic Engineer, Hydraulic Hose Technician, Workshop Technician, Warehouse operative or similar.
  • Previous experience building, servicing, and maintaining fluid powers systems including hoses, pumps, fittings, valves, regulators, couplings, filters, hydraulic motors, or similar hydraulic / industrial engineering products.
  • Knowledge of industrial/hydraulic hoses including multi spiral hose, thermoplastic hose, PTFE hose Textile Braid Hose, Wire Braid Hose, Wire Spiral Hose, or similar would be advantageous.
  • Apprentice trained or an engineering qualification would be beneficial but not needed.
  • Commutable to Bolton, Lancashire.
