We are recruiting a Shift Manager

Bellshill Industrial Estate

4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights between 7-7)

We’re looking for a Shift Manager to join us within the Blow Moulding Department at Muller Bellshill, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights 7-7). The purpose of this role is to help enable the team (of around 20 people) to deliver targets and continuously improve performance by coaching and developing our people.

Responsibilities as Shift Manager:

• Ensure all work standards are met, aligned with company policies and procedures
• Ensure full compliance in all areas of H&S, quality, environment (waste) ad production/supply
• Support with absence and performance management issues
• Managing disciplines of team, including disciplinary procedures
• Setting team / employee objectives and targets for continued improvement performance
• Mentoring, coaching and developing team members, delivering development plans for own team aligned with business objectives
• Creates a purpose, vision and clear direction around business objectives for the team

Priorities:

• Ensure STAR/Accidents are captured with corrective actions closed
• Day to day responsibility for driving improved site performance and team discipline
• Prioritise workload and team to drive continued improvement actions
• Drive waste and cost impacts to optimise control costs
• Prompt recognition and actions regarding fault finding and correction of issues
• Ensure constructive handover and capture of all issues is complete
• Regular Health & Safety, Quality, Hygiene inspections and sign off

Key skills and experience:

• Shift Management experience, ideally from within food/liquid manufacturing
• Health & Safety, Hygiene, Business standards
• Technical processing / machine knowledge

• Proactive with a passion for delivering change

• Use of Microsoft office packages
