Job Description

Job Title: Social Worker - Adult Safeguarding Team
Location: Bury
Hourly Rate: £30.00 per hour

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Adult Safeguarding Team in Bury. This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to the protection and well-being of vulnerable adults in our community by providing expert support and intervention in safeguarding cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of vulnerable adults to identify risks and develop safeguarding plans.
  • Implement and review safeguarding plans to ensure they effectively address identified risks and promote the well-being of adults at risk.
  • Work collaboratively with vulnerable adults, their families, and multi-agency professionals to deliver integrated safeguarding services.
  • Provide direct support and intervention to vulnerable adults experiencing abuse or neglect.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, including safeguarding strategy meetings and case conferences.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Offer guidance, support, and mentoring to less experienced team members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in adult safeguarding within a statutory setting.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with vulnerable adults, families, and professionals.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults.
