Job Title: Family Safeguarding Social Worker
Location: Bury
Hourly Rate: £39.00 per hour

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Family Safeguarding Social Worker to join our team in Bury. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with families to ensure the safety and well-being of children and to support families in making positive changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs, risks, and strengths.
• Develop, implement, and review care plans that promote the safety and welfare of children.
• Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and partner agencies to provide holistic support and interventions.
• Provide direct support and intervention to families to help them address issues and achieve positive outcomes.
• Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, including child protection conferences and core group meetings.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
• Offer guidance, support, and mentoring to less experienced team members as needed.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Significant experience in family safeguarding or child protection within a statutory setting.
• Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families.
