About the role
Our mission is to benchmark ourselves with the best-in-class semiconductor companies. In this exciting role, you will serve as the (Sr.) Project Manager for material cost down activities between our Manchester and Hamburg wafer fabs. You will not only drive cost down projects, you will define our material cost down roadmap together with our dedicated Business Excellence program managers and Procurement teams. This is your opportunity to contribute to the cost leadership target of Nexperia`s wafer fabs in line with business goals.
This challenging leadership position can be based Hamburg, Germany or Manchester, UK with regular travel between both sites.
What you will need
Bachelor ‘s or Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical discipline
+5 years relevant work experience, ideally within the semiconductor industry, especially of semiconductor equipment or processes
Willingness to visit the wafer fabs regularly to establish good working relationships with the teams
Team player with a strong drive to achieve success and a pronounced hands-on mentality
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Perseverance and ability to resolve conflicts in a respectful and appreciative manner
Mindset to challenge the status quo and think out of the box
Analytic approach and structured way-of-working
Fluency in German beneficial but not required

What you will do
Introduce and own the front-end material cost benchmarking process
Drive harmonization and standardization of qualification processes between the wafer fabs
Ensure prioritization of material qualification projects with procurement and wafer fab teams
Coordinate of activities with local wafer fab engineering teams and dedicated business excellence program managers
Lead own cost down projects and provide project management support for analogous projects
Identify further cost down opportunities by industry benchmarking analysis
Facilitate BOM supplier development with the quality team
