Brief Overview
The assistant will be supporting the Stock Controller with general administration duties within the office and warehouse.
Core Duties:
- Checking in of inbound deliveries, checking of delivery notes against purchase orders and accuracy of deliveries being booked onto the system. Raising queries with suppliers in a timely manner
- Responsible for accurately matching delivery notes against invoices and querying any discrepancies
- To manage the physical locations of all SKU’s
- To ensure weekly stock takes are carried out in line with policy
- Investigate and report on discrepancies, losses and damages
- Responsible for controlling best before dates of all stock and minimising write offs
- Delivery ticket confirmations and credits where required
- Manage and clear all outstanding stock issues
- Order taking for telesales and assisting in answering telephones
Key Skills:
- Use of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and records
- Accuracy when checking data and keeping records
- Good teamwork skills, with office staff as well as drivers and warehousing staff
