We have an exciting opportunity for a Switchboard Operator to join our Customer Services team. This role is a based in our Head Office in Central London (NW1 4LJ). We are also offering a competitive salary of £22,500 per annum plus a fantastic array of benefits.

Job Profile

The aim of the role is to provide a fast, friendly and efficient operator service to the London Clinic, its staff, patients and visitors. The post holder will be located at 1 Park Square West. The Team will work under the general direction of the switchboard supervisor. The operator service handles between 1500 to 2000 inbound and internal calls daily.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
  • Rota: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.
  • Salary: £22,500 per annum
  • Location: 1 Park Square West, London, NW1 4LJ (Baker Street and Regents Park stations).

Key Duties

  • To operate the Mitel 5550 and Data Track Super Directories efficiently and to providing a prompt and courteous service at all times.
  • Professionally responding to all telephonic requests and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • To operate the 'Meditech' System. To obtain patient information in order to connect callers to their correct destination.
  • To be responsible for contacting on-call staff by telephone or radio pager regarding any emergencies within the Clinic.

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience as a switchboard operator in a busy environment, such as a Hotel or Hospital environment is essential.
  • Experience in operating the MITEL 'Screen Based Telephone Directory' including 'Data Track Super Directory' is advantageous.
  • Being fluent in English is essential but the ability to speak a second language is highly desirable.
