Test Manager

I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Test Manager to join a specialist in SaaS solutions software house based in South Birmingham.  You will be joining a small talented team that delivers web applications, data consultancy and integration platforms for the maritime industry. They are looking for a talented Test Manager who can lead test strategy and create and deliver a testing roadmap. This is a hands-off role and will suit someone who has “been there done that” and has proven experience leading test teams and delivering strategy.

Day-to-day responsibilities are likely to include, but not be limited to:-

•          Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy company-wide, covering manual, automated, and security testing.
•          Manage a team of 8 testers, actively participating in their personal development plans and performance reviews.
•          Collaborate with program managers and product directors to ensure proper allocation of QA resources throughout each release cycle.
•          Attain an exceptional level of insight into the entire product suite through thorough engagement and analysis.

 The following skills & experience are essential:

•          Proven experience creating and delivering test strategy
•          Proven Team Management Experience
•          Experience within a SaaS / Product focused software house
•          Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•          Ability to acquire a deep understanding of a complex domain, both in terms of business logic and software.
•          Up-to-date knowledge of test tooling and best practices
•          Extensive background in manual testing, with preferred expertise in automated testing.

Offering 30 days’ holiday + bank holidays, pension scheme, death in service cover, healthcare, 37.5-hour working week, flexible hours around a core of 10-4 and a mix of remote and 2 days a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays).in the office (based in Longbridge, Birmingham).
