We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Coordinator to join our Customer Services team. This role is a based in our Head Office in Central London (NW1 4LJ). We are offering a competitive salary of £27,825 per annum plus a fantastic array of benefits.

Job Profile

The Ward Coordinator will work as part of the Customer Service Team to take a lead role in providing administrative support to the Nursing Team to ensure they make the best use of time in the clinical area. They will also ensure the smooth running and efficiency of the ward whilst upholding the Philosophy of the Clinic and the unit.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week between Monday to Friday. This role will be based full-time on-site.
  • Hours: Shifts between 7am and 6pm.
  • Salary: £27,825 per annum
  • Location: 1 Park Square West, London, NW1 4LJ (Baker Street and Regents Park stations)

Key Duties

  • Meet and greet when patients arrive to the ward and explain room facilities.
  • To prepare patient medical folders and related documentation for patients prior to admission. This includes printing patient labels and ID bands on arrival.
  • To make a note of any out of hours admissions on the ward and liaise with the Patient Liaison Team.
  • To inform departments of appointments required by patients for x-rays, physiotherapy, blood tests, scanning and out-patient appointments as instructed by the Manager or Nurse-in-Charge.
  • To liaise with consultant secretaries in arranging appointments for each patient. Ensuring that the Patient is given the appropriate appointment card/discharge information prior to discharge.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience as a Ward Co-ordinator/ Receptionist in a similar hospital setting or a 4*/5* hotel.
  • Previous healthcare industry administrative background with knowledge of doctor's practice, ideally private practice.
  • Evidence of good written and verbal communication skills with an excellent telephone manner.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure able to prioritise tasks and work under own direction.
  • Possess good IT skills. Including proficient with Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/Outlook.
