The role

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join us at our new 180k square foot facility that will be opening this year. Ideally, you will be someone who has experience of startups and project management and is used to managing a warehouse with over 100 staff. As a Warehouse Manager, you are responsible for the management of all warehouse activities and staff. You would be expected to assign and organise staff, manage performance and productivity to ensure full contract coverage and excellent standards of customer service at all times, including:

- Managing manpower levels and other resources in line with agreed parameters
- Coordinating operational activities to ensure the required service level is provided
- Conducting regular briefings and ensuring effective communications with the Operational Team
- Recognising training needs and providing solutions to ensure team members have the required knowledge for their role
- Actively supporting operational change whilst minimising disruption to production and service
- Supporting the regional manager in working closely with ILG sales and implementation teams to make informed decisions on new business opportunities
- Travel between ILG sites is an absolute necessity and reasonable travel at short notice is expected to other ILG UK or YLUK sites and any ILG site in Europe as and when needed.

What we are looking for

- Track record of warehouse management, preferably in a 3rd party Logistics environment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations
- Proven ability to successfully operate at Management level with clients from different sectors
- Sound financial acumen, particularly regarding cost management/labour control
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A track record of making tangible improvements against SLAs
- Comfortable making decisions
- Resilience in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient working knowledge of MS Office packages
- Passion for owning issues, striving for solutions or better outcomes
- Experience of startups/project management (desirable)
- Experience of working with WMS software platforms (desirable)
- Experience of working with clients across the fashion and beauty sector (desirable)
