Salary & Benefits(4a): £44,290 to £55,363 dependent on experience. Up to 10% pension with 5% contribution + annual bonus + retail savings schemes + online GP access + life assurance cover + free on-site parking + 25 days holiday + 1 wellbeing day + bank holidays

Location: Bradford, hybrid Working 1-2 days in the office per week

The Commercial Services Team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.

To meet this challenge, we are expanding our centralised Commercial Services team, offering rewarding career opportunities to drive the transformational change to ensure a resilient and sustainable supply chain across our Business. Our team is responsible for sourcing and managing all of our contracted supplier relationships and supplier performance. This includes procurement, contract management, commercial assurance and accounts payable. The Programme Delivery Commercial team form an internal partnership to support the delivery of the capital programme, providing contract management and commercial support.

Where you fit in:

  • You will be a skilled and motivated commercial practioner, with the drive and energy to deliver sustainable outperformance in a competitive industry for a regulated business.
  • You will provide specialist commercial advise and contract manage agreements that underpin the supply chain. Acting as the principal point of contact, you will manage a portfolio of medium to high complex commercial arrangements for Goods, Services and Works and will lead and support in collaborative engagement across the supply chain.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, building positive relationships to influence the commercial approach & outcomes and ensuring effective supplier relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen to drive innovation, performance and value through the development, execution and management of the contract life cycle.
  • Motivation in the pursuit of achieving outperformance, driving continuous improvement through efficiency and opportunity across a diverse supplier base.
  • Excellent data analytical skills to interrogate and assess supply payments, spend trends, business forecast demand and develop key reporting metrics for a range of KPIs.
  • A comprehensive understanding of contracts used in construction; engineering or a regulated environment to manage risk and ensure compliance to company policies, engineering standards and commercial terms.

You will also benefit from having:

  • A strategic approach to assist in the development of Contract Strategies working with YW procurement partners to develop the supply chain.
  • Extensive commercial experience of processes to drive continuous improvement and develop best practice in contract management.

We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 1-2 days in the office per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
