WHAT TO EXPECT

We are actively in pursuit of a Generative AI specialist, poised to play a pivotal role in advancing our journey of deploying this technology at JLR.

This individual will be instrumental in our AI and Data Science activities from product ideation & discovery, detailed scoping, and solution design to project delivery, using AI & Data Science techniques, and technologies to produce transformative digital products and communicate findings and insights to business stakeholders.

Your mission? To apply Generative AI technology to a wide range of business problems while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring other team members.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Leadership

• Identifies and ideates, in partnership with business stakeholders and other Digital capabilities, opportunities for AI / Generative AI products / projects
• Formulates the AI / Generative AI technical project plan and timeline, setting clear delivery dates and milestones
• Leads a team of internal and / or external AI Engineers / Data Scientists towards the delivery of the AI / Generative AI scope of work in a product / project, while at the same time taking responsibility for hands-on delivery as and when needed
• Is accountable for delivering the AI / Generative AI scope of work on time and with quality
• Advises decision makers on the utilisation of the AI / Generative AI system, leading to actions and value generation

Technical

• Understands the data-generating process and identifies the data required for building AI / Generative AI solutions
• Designs, develops, tests and monitors reliable and trusted AI / Generative AI solutions. Creates and maintains documentation
• Defines appropriate technical evaluation metrics and success criteria in business terms
• Explains the results / outputs and functionality of the AI / Generative AI solutions in technical and business language
• Provides mentoring, coaching and training to more junior members of the team
• Contributes to expanding and improving the best practices, processes and workflows used by the Digital AI / Generative AI team
• Contributes to the promotion and awareness of Digital’s AI / Generative AI capability across JLR
• Stays continuously updated with the latest advancements in Generative AI

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Proficient in Generative AI technologies, possessing proven previous work experience developing and deploying to production Generative AI solutions that deliver tangible business value
• Excellent knowledge of Python, SQL, Git and Gitflow workflow
• Experience in creating APIs and in ML/Ops automation
• Extensive knowledge of Machine Learning techniques, with a particular emphasis on deep learning and reinforcement learning. Very good understanding of Language Models
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and / or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Capable of explaining AI / Generative AI concepts and results to non-technical business stakeholders and decision-makers
• Very good maths, statistics and probability knowledge / skills
